New TOR Comic - The Lost Suns!

A new comic based on Star Wars: The Old Republic is releasing it's first issue next month!

It's title? The Lost Suns!

It's writer? Alexander Freed! One of TOR's senior writers!

When? June 8 2011!

Can't wait to get my hands on this new masterpiece! In less than a month the first issue of brand new comic series will be here! According to the publisher's site , this issue will introduce a new hero in a new mission. The hero's name is Theron Shan and no, his name isn't a coincidence. His is the descendant of Bastila and Shatele Shan! But coming as a surprise, he is not a Jedi! On the contrary he is a republic spy!

Lastly, according to the author "it also intertwines with the narrative of the game, revealing secrets players will find nowhere else" . 

Very interesting!

I don't know about you, but I am already placing my pre-order!

I have to admit... I really liked this one!

Release Date Speculation

A question that's keeping awake many nights!

Let me give you my two cents on this then!

I have to confess that I've always been really optimistic about TOR's release date.

For many months I was pretty sure that the game will be released on Summer.

More specifically in July.

But...

On May the 4th and after the conclusion of the EA's earnings call, everything for me changed!

I studied carefully everything that was discussed on this call and I believe the most important thing that was said that night is this:

The game is scheduled for a Q2 (July-September) release and might slip by a couple of months on the latter portion of Q3 (October-December).

Let's examine this more carefully!

He said that it may slip into the latter portion of Q3 by a couple of months. The only possible month that it can slip into from Q2 and be considered latter portion is November.

That tells me that the scheduled month for release is September! 

This ties very well with the Blu-ray release on the same month.

So if there wont be any more delays, the game should reach the stores sometime in September!

The long one? Here we go then!

I've been following this game for about 3 years now. I was excited even when there was a rumor that a new Kotor game was being developed. After the official announcement of the game on 21st of October 2008, my hype meter reached the skies! For three years now I've spent countless hours of my life on several Swtor related places, like the official forums or fansites like DarthHater, harvesting information about this game!

I know every bit of information that has been officially released, every rumor that circulated the forums and every speculation from both media and fans.

So I thought that I need a place that I can express my thoughts about the game. Discuss the news I've learned. Share my point of view. A place that I can let everything I have inside me about the game, to finally come out! And nothing is better than the internet, a place full of people that share the same passion with me!

Coming to a conclusion, this is a blog of me sharing my thoughts about The Old Republic!
